Last week saw the first of our Fordingbridge Veterans Hub sessions at Chevrons Living. Attended by a group of about 30 veterans, the morning was a huge success.
Tony Harvey, manager at Chevrons Living said: “Our first veterans’ hub had a great vibe. We are really focused on community so to bring people together at our breakfast event to get to know each other better, have a chat, and meet like-minded new friends was lovely to see.”
The veterans’ hub meetings will be held on the third Thursday of every month at Chevrons Living in Fordingbridge and the next one will be held on January 18th from 10 am to 12 pm and will cost just £5. Guests can enjoy unlimited tea and coffee and a bacon or sausage roll cooked by Chevron’s Living staff which is included in the entry price.
Tony adds: “If you are a veteran or know of one, please tell them to come along, particularly if you think they are feeling isolated or not really connecting with other groups. Our group is relaxed and fun – and very entertaining! Spread the word; we have a feeling that this is going to become a very popular event – particularly if our first meet-up was anything to go by!”
