What are you up to on the 21st of October from 11-3 pm? Chevrons Living is opening its doors for its first open-day event so everyone can see the changes we have made. Chevrons offer a unique opportunity for anyone retired to join a high-quality, independent living community of like-minded individuals in the idyllic Hampshire town of Fordingbridge – often referred to as the North Gateway to the New Forest.
Guests on the day will be welcomed with a drinks reception upon arrival, accompanied by the rousing sounds of The Gershwin Gang which will be playing swing and jazz from the 40s and 50s. After a short introduction from CEO Barry Robbins, attendees will have ample opportunity to explore the development, enjoy refreshments, and speak with the Chevrons Living Team, who will be on hand to offer guided tours and answer any questions visitors may have.
Mayor Cllr Peter White will be in attendance and will do the honours during the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will be followed by a flag-raising ceremony and a talk titled ‘Fordingbridge in Wartime’ by Fordingbridge Museum. There will be a workshop to create a community poppy wreath with all donations going to the Royal British Legion running throughout the event. All guests can take part in placing a poppy. There will also be a royal and military-themed quiz to take part in with some exciting prizes to be won. Our stylish Elizabeth Bar will be open for the drinks reception and we will be serving tea and cakes throughout the afternoon.
Barry Robbins, CEO of Chevrons Living is looking forward to the event. He said: “We welcome all members of the community to this special day. Attendance is free, but we kindly request that those interested contact Chevrons in advance to be added to the guest list. Email chevrons@paduacommunications.com or ring 01425 200248 to register your place.”
We hope to see you there!
