A new retirement community, created with special appeal to those who have served and ex-emergency services staff, has announced the arrival of a new social group for local veterans.

Chevrons Living will be hosting the Fordingbridge Veterans Hub on Thursday, 14 December from 10 am to 12 pm.

The informal breakfast get-together, aimed at those aged 18 and above and priced at £5, will strive to provide a safe and friendly environment to socialise, make new friends, and have fun. Guests will also get to enjoy a delicious breakfast roll included in the price.

Following the launch, the Hub will be held on every third Thursday of the month with the next meet-up being held on January 18, 2024.

Tony Harvey, Manager of Chevrons Living said: “We are a truly community-focused development, and we can’t wait to welcome all veterans, as well as their family members and beneficiaries, to our breakfast event. It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know one another, chat, and meet like-minded new friends. Please spread the word; we have a feeling that this is going to become a very popular event!”

Built for active seniors, with a particular interest to those who have served, Chevrons Living is an independent community situated at the gateway to the New Forest.

Beautifully designed, the development is home to 10 stylish rental studios – all with double beds and some with separate living areas. Each accommodation is en-suite and comes with wardrobes, beds, furniture, and small kitchens or kitchenettes.

Residents have access to a community ‘hub’ room, with local information and computer access, as well as an elegant dining area with an in-house chef. There are different catering options available, from breakfast, and half-board to full board.

Outside, there are beautifully landscaped community gardens with a barbecue and patio area, while the crown jewel of the development is the stylish Elizabeth Bar. The bar offers residents of Chevrons Living the chance to socialise within the community, enjoy entertainment, and participate in activities organised by the newly formed Escape Committee, including visits to local attractions and nearby historical sites.
